29th July 2008 Windsurfing: Worthing Cafe Wind Direction: SSW Wind Stength: dropping from 25mph Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: toasty Sea Temperature: bath tub warm Weather: overcast initially, then sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: Lunchtime power-hour session with Vinnie after meeting his sponsor from Worthing Watersports. Quick session, borrowed Vinnie's 6.4m Remedy as he'd rigged it then changed up to 7.5m GTX. Initially nicked his Manta 67 which was on beach with the rig plugged in as he was testing the S-Cross 115 pro model but soon mugged him and switched the 6.4m onto it. bit marginal session but water was bath tub warm, air temp was toasty, and the S-Cross worked sweet with the remedy. they guys lied about the sandy bed as the tide receeded it left loverly rocks for a barefoot walk of death back to the sandy bit !! Mental note to self, if i ever sail in worthing area, wear bl**dy boots !!! Nice lunch break regardless .... shame there isn't someone at a beach near me every lunchtime who I can mug for kit ;-) |
